Who We Are

The Gauteng Technical Manufacturing Initiative (GTMI) was established by the Gauteng Department of Economic Development (GDED) — one of the Gauteng Provincial Government's flagship initiatives intended to create jobs in support of the Government's Industry Development strategies.

GTMI focuses on technical manufacturing and engineering, including tool, die and mould making and precision machining sectors in Gauteng. We perform boundary-spanning activities required to align industry and provincial actions to obtain maximum effect.
